Decades-Long Dole Pesticide Case Returns to Hawai‘i Court

After nearly 30 years of legal battles, the pesticide lawsuit against Dole Fruit Company is back in Hawai‘i court. Scott Hendler, who has represented thousands of Central American banana plantation workers exposed to these toxic pesticides, continues to fight for justice on their behalf, navigating one of the most complex toxic tort cases in U.S. history.

The latest court action comes after the Hawai‘i Intermediate Court of Appeals found that three plaintiffs were wrongly removed from the case, reviving their claims and sending the lawsuit back to Circuit Court for further proceedings.
