Clare Nolan has over 15 years of successful legal experience, with a focus on litigation, trials, and appeals. After graduating from the Catholic University Columbus School of Law in May 2005, Clare Nolan moved to Georgia to become a public defender. In that capacity, she represented children and adults charged with a wide range of offenses, from minor crimes to serious felonies. Clare also was an assistant public advocate in Anchorage, Alaska where she represented juveniles and adults charged in criminal and delinquency cases. Clare was first chair on a couple dozen jury trials. She later spent six years representing children in dependency and delinquency proceedings. Prior to joining Hendler Flores Law in October 2020, Clare spent a year with a Personal Injury law firm based in Georgia.
Clare received her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Notre Dame and a Master’s in City & Regional Planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is a graduate of the JTIP Summer Academy (2018), which is presented by the National Juvenile Defense Council in partnership with Georgetown Law School. Clare has zealously advocated for several adults and juveniles in their criminal appeals and was successful at winning reversals from the Georgia Supreme Court as well as the Georgia Court of Appeals. She is a graduate of the Trial Lawyers College, which she attended in September of 2019.
Before becoming a lawyer, Clare served as a volunteer with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and worked in Refugee Resettlement with Catholic Charities in Nashville. Following that, she worked with Catholic Social Services in Atlanta. In 2018, she participated in the Catholic Charities Leadership Program (Atlanta). Clare continues to support Catholic and other volunteer organizations.
In her leisure time, Clare enjoys running with her dog, Stella, and playing sports with the Atlanta Gaelic Athletic Association and the Atlanta Lacrosse League. As the youngest of six children with 28 nieces and nephews, she always looks forward to reunions and celebrations with her sizable family.
